So much to say, so little time to say it...
So I realize that there has generally been a lack of updates lately, but
the thing is, life has been crazy. I've been doing travelling nearly
every weekend, and will continue that schedule. Furthermore, classes have
picked up, there are all kinds of parties with all kinds of people, and
I've been going to the gym with John a few times a week. Altogether, that
implies very little time to spend writing well-thought, entertaining
updates.
I've got some great stories to tell about the trips to Prague and Poland,
but really just no time to tell them, when you take into consideration the
fact that there are many photos that go along with it all, and those take
a fairly extensive amount of time to organize and put into galleries. In
essense, have patience, it'll all get posted before I get home. :]
In other news, I have now lost all respect for postal services worldwide.
I already despised the Deutsche Post, but now the USPS has added itself to
my list of less than favorable organizations. The thing is, I'm
supposed to be meeting my family in the Alps this weekend, but the
train ticket was too expensive to buy in Germany. Enter Eurail, and the
USPS. We came up with the idea of buying a ticket that would allow me
travel there and back and then two more days in Germany for half the cost
of the initial trip. The ticket was purchased, and mailed on 5/7.
Wouldn't you know, even though it was mailed 7 day delivery with
insurance, it's still not here, and I'm supposed to meet everyone
tomorrow. The man at the post office apparently said that they haven't
even left the US yet, but that he had no idea where the ticket really
was.
In any case, I'm annoyed at the whole situation, but there's really
nothing I can do. I suppose this might mean that I'll have time to write
some lengthy updates this weekend, but who knows. For the time being,
I'm going to a BBQ with some other students that are visiting from
NAU, so I'm out. Until next time...
