I'm here, but I'm not...
For those of you wondering where I've been, and not able to see my AIM away message
that I left, here's what's going on.
Last weekend, my friend Karol from Poland came up to Dresden to visit. During the
course of his visit, he uploaded some files to his FTP server, and managed to put me
over my bandwidth limit here. Since it was my first offense, the penalty isn't too
severe, but still involves me waiting an entire week for them to reactivate my
connection.
In the meantime, I've been spending my time studying, playing Mario Kart 64, and trying
to finish all of the random BS bureacracy that goes with de-registering from any German
city. With any luck, I'll be done with all of that, minus the Mario Kart, by this
coming Friday. My last test is tomorrow morning at 10:30 am, followed by a short meeting
with my German teacher, and then a trip to Zittau to close my bank account there.
Afterward I plan to do nothing but veg for all of Friday until Saturday when I will begin
packing and cleaning to make my way back home. The internet should be turned back on either
Saturday or Sunday (not sure which day I lost it), so start looking for me again then.
