The End of an Era
Taking a break from my as-of-late comedic prose, I have to take a moment
to mention a very sad thing. One of the greatest bands to hit the music
scene in the last ten years called it quits recently. I came to read this
disturbing news on their website earlier this morning, and must admit that
it has put me in a downer of a mood for the rest of the day. What band
could this be? None other than the awe inspiring "Slaves on Dope".
The website, www.slavesondope.com, also mentioned that a new band will
rise out of the remains of what were the Slaves, including all former
members minus Jason Rockman, lead vocals. This new band is currently
playing Montreal clubs, and is called "All for Fame." I'd like to take
this time to publicly state my best wishes for "AFF" and wish a final and
fond farewell to the band that has given me, to date, the best "small
club" musical experience in as long as I've been seeing shows. Until next
